I am a first-year PhD candidate in the UNC-NLP lab, advised by Shashank Srivastava and Snigdha Chaturvedi
Before joining UNC, I spent a few years in the industry, where I developed and trained deep-learning models to solve the following problems in healthcare, finance, and camera systems:
clinical and financial text: information extraction, document classification, summarization, question-answering
machine learning: anomaly detection, rare event prediction, time series similarity
optimization: differentiable ISP, quantization, efficient hardware operators
I then decided to transition to academia, where I want to address some of the challenges in current artificial intelligence models and hope to progress towards human-level AI.
